BRICS Property Awards — Best Real Estate in BRICS Countries

BRICS Property Awards

BRICS Property Awards

The world’s only awards programme dedicated to recognising outstanding real estate projects across the BRICS countries. It celebrates excellence in architecture, infrastructure, residential development and placemaking.

The awards provide Russian developers with a platform for international recognition and access to a broader professional community at a time when participation in some established international competitions remains challenging.

Why participate

Recognition that matters to investors and banks

Recognition that matters to investors and banks

Being shortlisted or winning serves as an independent mark of quality for investors, banks, partners and development institutions. This strengthens a developer’s position in negotiations on financing, partnerships and transactions.

Transparent rules and meaningful recognition

Transparent rules and meaningful recognition

Winners are selected using a formalised methodology: awards cannot be secured through payment, and neither partnership nor sponsorship influences the vote. This protects the reputational value of winning.

A national showcase on the international stage

Часто задаваемые вопросы

When will the winners be announced?

The winners will be announced at the BRICS Property Awards ceremony in Kazan on 11 November 2026. The official results will be published on the Awards website.

Where can I find the assessment criteria?

The assessment criteria are set out in the Award Regulations, available in the Documents section. Each category and entry format has its own criteria and weighting matrix.

Who may enter the Awards?

Property developers, housebuilders, architectural and design practices, and real-estate professionals with projects in Russia are invited to enter.

Can I enter more than one category?

Yes. A single project may be entered in multiple categories if it meets the requirements for each one. A separate application must be submitted and a registration fee paid for each category.

What is the difference between the «Concept» and «Completed Project» formats?

Concepts are assessed primarily on the strength of the architectural idea, masterplan, environmental rationale and development potential. Completed projects are additionally assessed on the quality of delivery, infrastructure, landscaping and user experience.

Which projects can be entered as completed projects?

A completed project must have been commissioned no earlier than 2023. Developments with at least one completed phase are eligible.

What is required to enter a project in the «Concept» format?

A valid building permit is mandatory. Its details must be provided in the application form, along with supporting documentation.

What materials must be submitted with an application?

Depending on the category and entry format, applicants may need to provide a project description, presentation, photographs or visualisations, site plan, elevations, floor plans, diagrams and other supporting materials. For completed projects, it is important to demonstrate the solutions that have actually been delivered.

What happens after the registration fee has been paid?

Payment gives access to the detailed project application form. It must be completed and accompanied by the required materials, after which the application is submitted for review.

Can the Organising Committee change a project’s category?

Yes. If questions arise during the review regarding the selected category or project class, the Organising Committee will contact the entrant and suggest an appropriate alternative.

How are projects assessed?

The Awards comprise two stages. First, the international jury evaluates projects online and draws up a shortlist. Finalists then present their projects to the jury in person, after which the winners are selected.

Who sits on the jury?

The jury includes Russian and international experts in property development, architecture, urban environments, finance, investment, consultancy and sustainable development. It is formed with due regard to the avoidance of conflicts of interest.

Can a win be purchased or can partnership increase the chances of winning?

No. Winners are selected solely by the jury in accordance with the approved methodology. Registration fees, partnerships and sponsorship do not affect voting results.

What is included in the Finalist Package?

It includes the opportunity to present the project in person to the international jury; publication of a project profile on the Awards website and in the finalists’ catalogue; one ticket to the awards ceremony; an opportunity to receive feedback from the jury; and the right to use finalist or winner status in marketing materials.

Is the Finalist Package compulsory?

Yes. The Finalist Package is purchased separately only by shortlisted projects and covers the services provided during the final stage.

Can I purchase additional tickets for the awards ceremony?

Yes. The Finalist Package includes one ticket in the relevant category. Additional tickets may be purchased for colleagues, partners and project team members.

Can a corporate table be booked for the ceremony?

Yes. Corporate tables for ten guests are available in the Business and VIP categories. The corporate package includes a branded table; the VIP package also provides seating in the VIP area or in the front rows near the stage.

How and where will the in-person project presentations take place?

Finalists will present their projects in Kazan on 9–10 November 2026. Each project presentation may last up to five minutes, followed by up to five minutes of questions from jury members. Presentations will be held separately for the «Concept» and «Completed Project» formats.
